The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a recall for 35,400 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausages due to potential contamination with pieces of rubber. Consumer complaints alerted the company to the issue. The affected products are 12-ounce Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa Turkey Sausage packages with May 17 and May 18 “best by” dates and a “P-32009” establishment number. The recall covers products distributed to retail centers in several states. Johnsonville urged consumers to discard or return the affected sausages and assured that no adverse reactions or injuries have been reported. The company is working with retailers to remove the products from shelves. The recall does not impact other Johnsonville sausage products.
